Having purchased a rival brand camera and then had to return it and its replacement, I went for a complete change and have not regretted it. The camera feels a good quality, was easy to set up, provides good quality pictures night and day without a subscription. I had one problem more to do with my phone and it picking up a live feed. Had the toucan doorbell on the front of the house for a while and it's been good, and needed something for the back of the house. Looked at the doorbell but saw this and thought the security light would be a good feature along with no requirement to charge it.

Installed it myself with no need for additional tools other than a drill and screwdriver. Cable routing was just the mains cable and nothing else, wireless connection was simple to setup. As don't need to charge it I could put it higher than I would have put a doorbell.

Video quality is brilliant and I was able to set up motion zone to avoid the tree setting off the camera in the wind. Tested the siren and it would certainly alert neighbours should it sound. Would definitely recommend this to others.

I've not bought the upgraded subscription but even on basic subscription I get enough features I need.

Can the Floodlight Camera detect people?

Yes, you will find the option under the Camera Settings > Motion Detection > Human Detection to enable in the Toucan app. You can also set notifications so that you're alerted only when a human is detected.

How do I adjust the light settings on my Toucan Floodlight Camera?

Head to "Settings" in the Toucan app, and tap “Light Settings”. This will bring up the motion, manual, schedule, and alarm mode settings.

Can I turn off the blue LED on the Security Light Camera?

The Security Light Camera's blue LED has three settings. You can have it on all the time, on when it detects motion, or off all the time.

What is the radar on the Toucan Security Light Camera, and why is it different?

Radar works by bouncing radio waves off of objects. This is different from other cameras that use passive infrared technology in that it is immune to the affects of the sun or sudden changes in temperature.

Can I deactivate the camera and just use the light?

Yes, if you want to use just the light on the camera you can do this by "snoozing" the camera for a set period of time or on a timed schedule. When the camera is snoozed, you will not receive motion event alerts and video will not be recorded. Take the camera out of snooze mode to activate these functions again.
