FAQ

Does the Toucan S2 require a subscription?

No.

The S2 Camera works with the free Toucan Smart Home app, which does not require a subscription.
Features like live view, motion detection alerts, and motion recordings are all included for free.

Any recordings from the camera will be viewable and downloadable for 24 hours from the time of creation.

How far does the motion detection work?

Motion detection is effective up to 6 meters

How long does the battery last?

Battery life is dependent on multiple factors such as how many motion triggers it receives per day, Wi-Fi signal strength and cold weather. The battery is designed for long lasting performance between charges.

The S2 is compatible with the Toucan solar panel for extended battery life.

Can I share access with family members?

Yes, you can share access with one other person at no additional cost via the Toucan app. Your shared user will need to set up their own account. Head to Settings & Shared Devices within the app to share your device.

If you need to share with more than one other person, take a look at our Toucan Shield plan optional upgrades.

What if I need longer cloud storage?

You can upgrade to one of the optional Toucan Shield plans to get 30 or 90 days cloud storage. You can pay this monthly or pay for 10 months if you sign up for annual subscription.
