FAQ

Does the bundle require a subscription, as I am buying more than one device?

No.

All Toucan Smart Home devices work with the free Toucan Smart Home app, which does not require a subscription.
Features like live view, motion detection alerts, and motion recordings are all included for free.

Any recordings from the camera will be viewable and downloadable for 24 hours from the time of creation.

You can add unlimited devices to your free account.

Can I share access with family members?

Yes, you can share access with one other person at no additional cost via the Toucan app. Your shared user will need to set up their own account. Head to Settings & Shared Devices within the app to share your device. Sharing is by device, so you do not have share all devices with the same person.

If you need to share with more than one other person, take a look at our Toucan Shield plan optional upgrades.

Can I install the products in different locations with the same account?

Yes, as the products are cloud based and don't rely on a hub you can have the doorbell and camera in completely locations, they can both be paired to the same account or different accounts.

How long does the battery last?

Battery life is dependent on multiple factors such as how many motion triggers it receives per day, Wi-Fi signal strength and cold weather. The battery is designed for long lasting performance between charges.

I want longer storage times, is this possible?

Yes, you can upgrade to one of our optional Shield plans, AI+PRO offers 30 day storage and AI+ELITE offers 90 day storage. Check out the Shield Plans page for all of the inclusions in each plan - upgrades are applied to all of your devices, you do not need a plan per product.
